Ancient, elemental, and powerfully beautiful — the Resin Incense Burner is the most authentically traditional piece in our collection, carrying three thousand years of sacred ritual history.

Resin burning — placing pieces of natural tree resin onto a glowing charcoal disc and allowing them to vaporise in fragrant clouds — is one of the oldest forms of incense in human civilisation. Frankincense was carried by Magi across the desert; Myrrh was embalmed into the bodies of Egyptian pharaohs; Copal was burned by the Aztec and Mayan civilisations in their most sacred ceremonies. Our Resin Incense Burner is designed for the most ancient and authentically traditional method of incense burning, bringing millennia of sacred human history into your contemporary ritual space.

What Makes It Special

Resin burning produces the richest, most complex, and most authentic incense experience available — pure tree resins have a depth of fragrance that no stick or cone can fully replicate. The smoke from burning resin frankincense, for example, is genuinely identical to the incense used in Catholic cathedrals, Orthodox churches, and Hindu temples throughout history. It is the most authentic connection to the ancient world of sacred fragrance.

  • Compatible with the full range of traditional resins — Frankincense, Myrrh, Copal, Benzoin, Amber, Dragon's Blood

How to Use

Using tongs, hold a self-igniting charcoal disc over a flame for 30 seconds until it sparks across. Place in the bowl. Wait 3–5 minutes for the charcoal to develop a full grey ash coat — it's now ready. Add a small piece of resin (the size of a pea) to the charcoal surface. Add more as the fragrance fades.

Safety Notes

Charcoal discs get extremely hot — always use tongs. The burner will heat significantly during use — handle with care, place on heat-resistant surfaces only. Never leave burning charcoal unattended. Allow to fully cool before moving or storing.

Three thousand years of sacred fire. The Resin Incense Burner — the oldest way to fill your world with divine fragrance.
