The earth's most ancient and grounding scent — Vetiver Essential Oil is the root of stillness itself.

Steam-distilled from the deeply buried roots of Chrysopogon zizanioides, our Vetiver Essential Oil carries one of the most complex and profound aromas in aromatherapy — earthy, smoky, woody, and deeply rooted, like rain-soaked forest floor. Called the 'oil of tranquillity' in Sri Lanka and the 'oil of stillness' in India, vetiver is the deepest grounding oil that exists.

Key Specifications

  • Botanical Name: Chrysopogon zizanioides
  • Extraction Method: Steam Distillation
  • Plant Part: Roots
  • Origin: India / Java / Haiti
  • Aroma Profile: Deep, earthy, smoky, woody, complex

What Makes It Special

Vetiver's deep earthiness comes from over 150 compounds found in the roots. Its viscous nature — one of the heaviest essential oils — means its therapeutic action is slow, deep, and long-lasting. For anxiety, hyperactivity, and grounding, there is no equal.

Benefits

  • Profound grounding — calms a scattered, anxious, or racing mind
  • Used in ADHD protocols — supports focus and attention without stimulants
  • Deep sleep support — quiets an overactive nervous system
  • Regenerates skin cells — especially beneficial for mature and scarred skin
  • Exceptional base note that anchors and extends any fragrance blend

How to Use

Diffuser: Add 2–4 drops (a little goes a long way with this powerful oil). Topical: Blend 1–2 drops in a carrier oil and apply to pulse points or the back of the neck. Sleep: Add 2 drops to your pillowcase or bedroom diffuser at bedtime.

Safety Notes

Highly viscous — warm gently in warm water if difficult to pour. Dilute before topical use. Generally considered safe — minimal contraindications. Not for internal use.

Come back to earth. Come back to yourself. Vetiver Essential Oil — the deepest root, the stillest calm.

N.B! There is no return or refund for oils; all sales are final. Incense Pro highly recommends ordering the smallest quantity when ordering for the first time.
